It's a bit sad, but we'll be leaving our garden to the future generation of APES -- whoever chooses our plot by lottery. We really enjoyed the garden and service learning that we did this year and maybe it's because we did it together most of all. We think that's the greatest fun out of this entire project -- being together with our little 'family' of four and building a great masterpiece of a garden in the end.
Admittedly, our garden really isn't much compared to the others. We didn't add much and we didn't water much. When we actually tended to the garden, it was during class time when Mr. Vo gave us the fifteen minutes to do whatever we want. We were busy seniors and juniors prepping for college, SATs, other classes, and just living out our life to the fullest.
Still, it was a fun trip and we did manage to feed many people even with a fifteen to thirty minute effort every week. We think that your family garden will be sustainable because of this reason too.
Just a love a day and something will bloom a day. It's that simple. And the short time we had with the garden was always fun. What can we say? We're all biophiles in the end. We love the dirt. We love the green. And we love to eat.
This year had been great. Thank you, readers, class, and Mr. Vo for making it so. Family gardens are fun. Bye~
