- Petrolatum: Mineral oil jelly that causes problems on skin photosensitivity by interfering with the body's natural moisturizing mechanism. Though advertised as protecting the lips from sunburn or chapping, this ingredient is the reason why lips dry and chap.
- Propylene Glycol: Petrochemical mix used as a humectant and causes allergic and toxic reactions
- PVP/VA Copolymer: Chemical from petroleum commonly used in hairsprays, wavesets, cosmetics and contributes to foreign particles in the lungs of sensitive people
- Sodium Lauryl Sulfate: Synthetic chemical used in shampoo for detergent and foam-building abilities but causes eye irritations, skin rashes, hair loss, dandruff-like scalp scurf, and allergies.
- Stearalkonium Chloride: Used in hair conditioners and creams, but causes allergic reactions
- Synthetic Colors labeled as FD&C or D&C that make cosmetics and hair dyes pretty, but are carcinogenic (cancer causing)
