Did we trick you? Horrible, aren't we... Nah! It's really not our fault that the tasty appetizers and salads of galore were pushed forward to this Thursday instead of the usual Friday.
After all, our teacher's going to be off doing who knows what at who knows where at who knows when-- Alright, you get the point. Anyways, today's the day where we eat again and today it's Sheenie who cooked the food!
The recipe will be in the usual recipe section, but here's the rundown of what happened. We used our gardens' very own jalapenos for this and the spicy taste of great amazing pepper!
It's an amazing dry dish, but it's not recommended to people who hate dried fish or spicy food. Sheenie made it herself, being an experimenting senior heading off to college. Well, it was a great feast~
Soup! Soup's actually a pretty rare dish in our class -- mostly because everyone's wary of beverage concoctions or everyone's too cheap to buy cups! Oh well, today's soup was great and it was cooked by Vanessa Lau~
The onion and tomato came from our garden and now that we realized it, it's kind of sad how we didn't include carrots in the list of plants to plant! After all, carrots are very healthy for you and versatile -- people are able to use carrots in anything and even eat it raw! Not only that, but carrots are fast growing plants! They'll take a week to sprout and make orange edibles. Pretty cute and cool, right?
Well, anyways, today's feast was carrots, carrots, and carrots -- ahem, sorry about that. Today's feast was beef soup with Vanessa's own hint of taste.
Today, Vanessa will be cooking for tomorrow's feast! We watered the garden yet again and picked green onions for the amazing, awesome, FABULOUS meal for tomorrow~!
Though our AP Statistics people missed it because of the exam this very day, today's the Friday Feast and Esther made Lettuce Chicken Wrap, an Asian style dish today!
The lettuce and rosemary came from our gardens along with the green onions and beans.
A great meal for the spring, light on the taste buds and delicious to the heart!
Great job, Esther!
P.S. No group picture this time since half of us were missing because of AP Statistics.
APES stands for AP Environmental Science, an AP class at Arcadia High focusing on learning about and improving the environment around us. Work is not limited to just around the school campus, but the very global environment itself. We wish to promote the fun lessons we learned in class and spread the awareness that gardens are familial!
